I met Bill Ryan in 1996 during a Dragon and Tiger Chi Gung training program with BK Frantzis, our teacher. Dragon and Tiger Chi Gung (aka Qigong) is the Chinese name for the Moving Tiger energy exercise system.

In the spare hours free from training, Bill patiently taught me the subtle yet powerful energy work that lies behind the movements of the Dragon and Tiger form. Bill was a gentle and compassionate teacher who helped me go beyond the mechanical aspects of each routine; when I felt frustrated with my learning, Bill gently persisted in helping me to succeed. This is when a teacher becomes the best kind of friend and mentor.

I still practice and teach Dragon and Tiger today. It remains one of the best Chi Gung forms I know, offering opportunities for self-healing, for understanding of how energy works in ourselves and how we connect with the world around us, and for making us feel more vibrant and alive.
