As a musician, I’ve had difficulty finding modalities that would help keep my body and mind fine-tuned to meet the needs of my craft. While most things have been of benefit on some levels, Moving Tiger has been a benefit on all levels.
The exercises have helped to heal soft tissue damage from too much playing and carrying heavy equipment. I find that my connective tissues feel more resilient and my flexibility has increased, while pain and weakness have decreased. It has had a positive profound affect on my physical nerves too.
I’ve also found that I feel more grounded from Moving Tiger and that shows in my musicality, teaching and creativity.
Overall, my energy is better and other ailments have also decreased. My system seems to run better. It has also been a great stress-buster, as I feel more relaxed, but also ready.
I’ve been practicing Moving Tiger for six years and it has really changed my life for the better. It has also spurred me on to continue studying chi gung and to start a chi gung course for musicians. I am hoping to help other musicians connect with this wonderful art to help keep them attuned to their own art.
As for Bill, he is a wonderful teacher: steady, patient, aware and attuned and extremely knowledgeable in chi gung.
He knows how to zero in on each person’s unique needs in learning Moving Tiger. He’s able to assess very quickly and find adjustments when needed. He’s easy going and sensitive and also has a good sense of humor, which makes his classes comfortable and enjoyable.
He is great to work with and on another level, he has been a good model for how to teach. I’ve learned a lot from working with him, both as a student and as a teacher.
