Don't Hold Your Breath
Have you ever noticed how often you hold your breath? Observe yourself sometime. Most of us do it regularly.
Think of your breath as being like a pump that helps to circulate your life energy through your system, from your organs to your arms, legs, and head and back again.
If your breath stops - even just briefly - the energy pump stops and your whole system slows down.
The results? You become more tired, more stressed, less healthy, and less alive.
The answer? Try not to hold your breath! Play with breathing gently and steadily:
- for a little while when you wake up;
- as you fall asleep;
- when you are in the bathroom;
- while you exercise;
- at stoplights;
- when you do routine tasks, such as washing the dishes;
- whenever you start to feel sleepy;
- as you start a task;
- when you sense a difficult situation developing;
- as you sit in front of a computer (especially!)
- whenever you like!
Let breathing gently and steadily become a game that you play throughout your day, and help your life energy flow.
Enjoy.
