Healthy Posture
Your life energy flows through your body in channels or meridians. Some are small and near the surface of your body. Some are big and run deep inside you.
Healthy posture opens up your energy channels to let your life energy flow through your body. Poor posture closes them.
What is healthy posture? Think of babies and small children, who as a group are the most energetic and alive of humans.
What do you notice about their posture? Is it rigid and hard? Hardly. That's how people become when they die. People who hold up their bodies with a lot of strength and tension bottle up their energy.
Is a child's posture limp and floppy? Again, no. They are relaxed and loose but not limp. A person who is a couch potato is limp and floppy and immobile. Their collapsed posture slows down their energy until it becomes stagnant.
So let your posture become like that of a small child's, neither too stiff nor tight nor too loose nor floppy. Play with your posture. Explore. Try something and see if it makes you feel more alive. If it does, you're on the right track.
Explore when you're standing in line, sitting in a waiting room, walking across the street, reaching up to a shelf, driving to work, watching tv, lying down for a nap, whenever.
Let your body come alive through healthy posture.
